Geistlich Combi-Kit Collagen consists of Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® 100 mg and Geistlich Bio-Gide® 16 x 22 mm. When used together, the two materials provide optimal properties for ridge preservation and minor bone augmentation procedures.

Geistlich Bio-Gide® is the leading collagen membrane in North America for oral tissue regeneration.1,2 It is used in combination with a bone substitute such as Geistlich Bio-Oss® or Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen®. Geistlich Bio-Gide® integrates with surrounding tissues to protect the initial coagulum. With its unique bilayer structure, Geistlich Bio-Gide® not only prevents ingrowth of soft tissue into the augmented site, but then optimally degrades to allow for the cascade of biologic events leading to regeneration.

Geistlich Bio-Gide® is naturally resorbable therefore a second surgery for removal of the membrane is not required. As it simplifies the surgical technique, and exhibits excellent wound healing properties3,4, Geistlich Bio-Gide® has fundamentally changed dental bone regeneration.

Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® consists of 90% Geistlich Bio-Oss® granules with the addition of 10% porcine collagen. Geistlich Bio-Oss® is scientifically proven and is the leading biomaterial in regenerative dentistry. Combining Geistlich Bio-Oss® with highly purified porcine collagen enhances it’s handling characteristics making Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® formable and easy to handle.

    Geistlich Bio-Oss® 0.25-1mm, 0.25g=0.5cc, 1 Vial/Bx

Geistlich Bio-Oss® is a sterile, biocompatible porous bone mineral substitute, which is physically and chemically comparable to the mineralized matrix of human bone. It is available in spongiosa (cancellous granules) and in blocks.

Geistlich Bio-Oss® is the leading bone substitute for regenerative dentistry worldwide. The outstanding osteo-conductive properties of Geistlich Bio-Oss® lead to effective and predictable bone regeneration. Geistlich Bio-Oss® particles are incorporated over time within living bone which provides long-term volume preservation. The bio functionality of Geistlich Bio-Oss® is characterized by its topographic structure, hydrophilic properties and the biologic interaction that supports reliable bone formation.

Leading clinicians rely on Geistlich Bio-Oss® because:

    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® augmented bone leads to high implant survival rates, comparable with implants placed in native bone.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is easy to apply and can be used in a variety of therapeutic areas.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is validated by 25 years of successful use and testing.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is documented in more than 900 publications.

    Indications:

    • Augmentation or reconstructive treatment of the alveolar ridge; Filling of periodontal defects
    • Filling of defects after root resection, apicoectomy, and cystectomy
    • Filling of extraction sockets to enhance preservation of the alveolar ridge
    • Elevation of the maxillary sinus floor

    • Filling of peri-implant defects in conjunction with products intended for GBR

Geistlich Bio-Oss® has excellent handling properties and provides predictable results in daily clinical use:

    • Before application, Geistlich Bio-Oss® is mixed with autogenous blood or a saline solution. Its hydrophilic properties promote rapid and complete hydration.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is easily modelled and adheres optimally to the walls of the defect.
    • Excessive compression should be avoided in order to allow for new bone ingrowth.
    • Subsequent application of Geistlich Bio-Gide®, a collagen membrane, enables undisturbed healing which leads to new bone regeneration.

    Warnings:

    • Possible complications which may occur with any surgery include swelling at the surgical site, flap sloughing, bleeding, local inflammation, bone loss, infection or pain.
    • As Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® contains collagen, in very rare circumstances cases of allergic reactions may occur.

Geistlich Bio-Oss® is available in eight convenient quantities of small or large granules, which adapt easily to defect sites:

    Geistlich Mucograft Seal, 1 U/Bx

Geistlich Mucograft® Seal is a 3D collagen matrix specifically designed for soft-tissue regeneration in the management of intact extraction sockets. Its unique properties make it ideal for ridge preservation when combined with Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen®.

Geistlich Mucograft® Seal minimizes resorption of the ridge following tooth extraction in sites with preserved alveolar buccal walls.1-3 Subsequent soft-tissue quality and maturation at 8-10 weeks allows greater flexibility in the timing of implant placement.

Geistlich Mucograft® consists of two structures: the compact macro-structure provides stability while allowing open healing; the spongy micro-structure supports blood clot stabilization and the ingrowth of soft tissue cells.

    Key benefits:

    • Faster wound healing and tissue integration
    • Natural color and texture adaptation
    • Simple application and shorter procedure times
    • Ideal when paired with Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® for early implant placement
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® and Geistlich Mucograft® Seal preserve significantly more bone volume than spontaneous healing

    Indications:

    • covering of implants placed in immediate or delayed extraction sockets
    • localized gingival augmentation to increase keratinized tissue (KT) around teeth and implants
    • alveolar ridge reconstruction for prosthetic treatment and recession defects for root coverage

Geistlich Mucograft® Seal is easy to handle:

    • Ready to use: No need for pre-treatment or hydration.
    • Application: Prior to applying Geistlich Mucograft® Seal, the surrounding soft-tissue margins should be de-epithelialized. This allows soft-tissue cells to migrate from the soft-tissue border into the matrix.
    • Orientation: The compact macro-structure of the matrix should face outwards and the spongy micro-structure towards the extraction socket.
    • Fixation: Geistlich Mucograft® Seal should be sutured with non-resorbable suture material. Tissue adhesives should not be used. Good adaptation of the matrix to the soft-tissue margins can be achieved with single-interrupted, double-interrupted or cross-stitch suturing, depending on the morphology of the defect.

It is available in a convenient circular form:

    • Geistlich Mucograft® Seal 8 mm diameter collagen matrix

    The package contains:

    • 1 matrix of Geistlich Mucograft Seal
