Arestin® Administration Handle is specially made, stainless steel handle that adjoins with Arestin cartridges to dispense the antibiotic efficiently. Once the cartridge has been removed and disposed the handle can be sterilized.

ARESTIN is a locally applied antibiotic that is placed directly into the infected periodontal pocket at the time of scaling and root planning (SRP). ARESTIN has a unique delivery system where minocycline microspheres are administered as a powder to allow for easy, targeted placement at the base of the periodontal pocket.

    Key benefits:

    • Data suggests no significant increase of minocycline-resistant bacteria
    • Delivers a concentrated dose directly to the base of the pocket and the active infection site
    • Convenience of an in-office treatment with no pills to take
    • Allows for a variable dosing, as low as 1 mg per site

    The package contains:

    • 1 Arestin Handle per box
    Part number: 611205040

    Arestin® (minocycline HCl) Microspheres, 1mg, 24 Carp/Bx

Arestin® (minocycline HCl) 1mg microspheres is a prescription drug that is indicated as an adjunct to scaling and root planing procedures to reduce pocket depth in adults with chronic periodontitis. For product information view the Canadian ARESTIN ® monograph on Health Canada's Drug Product Database.

    Arestin® (minocycline HCl) Microspheres, 1mg, 12 Carp/Bx

ARESTIN (minocycline HCl) Microspheres, 1 mg is a concentrated, locally applied antibiotic that remains active in the pocket for an extended period of time to reduce pocket depth. Each cartridge contains controlled-released minocycline microspheres (containing the equivalent to 1mg minocycline base). The microspheres release antibiotic over time, targeting bacteria to reduce pocket depth, so gums can heal better than with scaling and root planning (SRP) alone.

ARESTIN allows for easy, targeted placement at the base of the periodontal pocket. Once inserted in the pocket, ARESTIN microspheres immediately adhere to the surrounding surfaces, providing a sustained release of minocycline at the site of active infection.

    Key features of ARESTIN:

    • No premixing or premeasuring
    • No adhesive required
    • No need to remove ARESTIN after treatment (since the microspheres are completely bioresorbed)
    • No local anesthesia required
    • No dressing required
    • ARESTIN remains active in the pocket for an extended period of time

    SRP+ARESTIN clinical benefits:

    • Targeted periodontal bacteria to fight infection at 1 MONTH
    • Provided significantly greater pocket depth reduction for up to 3 MONTHS vs SRP alone.
    • Resulted in reduced pocket depth after 1 month and maintained at 9 MONTHS.

    Package contains:

    • 12 cartridges of 1mg Minocycline

    Geistlich Bio-Oss® 0.25-1mm, 0.25g=0.5cc, 1 Vial/Bx

Geistlich Bio-Oss® is a sterile, biocompatible porous bone mineral substitute, which is physically and chemically comparable to the mineralized matrix of human bone. It is available in spongiosa (cancellous granules) and in blocks.

Geistlich Bio-Oss® is the leading bone substitute for regenerative dentistry worldwide. The outstanding osteo-conductive properties of Geistlich Bio-Oss® lead to effective and predictable bone regeneration. Geistlich Bio-Oss® particles are incorporated over time within living bone which provides long-term volume preservation. The bio functionality of Geistlich Bio-Oss® is characterized by its topographic structure, hydrophilic properties and the biologic interaction that supports reliable bone formation.

Leading clinicians rely on Geistlich Bio-Oss® because:

    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® augmented bone leads to high implant survival rates, comparable with implants placed in native bone.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is easy to apply and can be used in a variety of therapeutic areas.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is validated by 25 years of successful use and testing.
    • Geistlich Bio-Oss® is documented in more than 900 publications.

    Indications:

    • Augmentation or reconstructive treatment of the alveolar ridge; Filling of periodontal defects
    • Filling of defects after root resection, apicoectomy, and cystectomy
    • Filling of extraction sockets to enhance preservation of the alveolar ridge
    • Elevation of the maxillary sinus floor
    • Filling of periodontal defects in conjunction with products intended for Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR) and Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR)
    • Filling of peri-implant defects in conjunction with products intended for GBR
