Ensure your dental office staff is adequately trained in using the Philips HeartStart OnSite AED with the Philips SMART Pads Training Cartridge. These special purpose pads are installed in the HeartStart OnSite and the HeartStart Trainer. When installed in the OnSite, they suspend the defibrillator’s ability to deliver a shock and activate its training mode, enabling the user to run any of eight emergency scenarios. Depending on which cartridge is used – Adult or Infant/Child – the defibrillator’s voice instructions, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) coaching, will be appropriate for treating the simulated victim.

These special purpose cartridge pads, when installed in the HeartStart OnSite, suspend the defibrillator’s ability to deliver a shock and activate its training mode, enabling the user to run any of eight emergency scenarios. The defibrillator’s voice instructions, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) coaching, are appropriate for teaching how to treat an Infant/Child – the simulated victim.

Succinylcholine is an ultra short-acting, depolarizing-type, skeletal muscle relaxant. As does acetylcholine, it combines with the cholinergic receptors of the motor end plate to produce depolarization. Succinylcholine chloride is indicated as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate tracheal intubation, and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery. It is an ultra short-acting depolarizing-type, skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous (IV) administration.
